Week 7

Sorry I haven't updated the blog lately but I had problems logging in.

This evening we reviewed talking about clothing and then went on to study ways to describe people by
HEIGHT: se ga takai, se ga hikui
BUILD: gashhiri shita, ookii, chiisai, futotteiru, yaseteiru
HAIR: kami ga nagai/ mijikai, kinpatsu, chapatsu, hageteiru
EYES: aoi, kuroi, hosoi, ookii
GENERAL APPEARANCE: kakko ii, kakko warui, kirei, minikui
PERSONALITY: yasashii, shinsetsu, fushinsetsu, iya na hito, tanoshii, majime

We listened to the desriptions of people in the book on page 40.
Then moved on to lesson 5, using the -n desu form (semi polite) form to explain things, read the grammar description in the book carefully. It's a very useful form and easy to remember.
This lesson also covers frequeuncy so we practiced using words to explain how often we do things.

HOMEWORK: This is your 2nd piece of written work for submission - 2 descriptions, one of a person and another of a thing. For the thing, look at page 29, description of a new pasokon and base it on that.
Please keep a copy of the work and I will send feedback by email before I go away for Easter.

Don't forget that although I am away the first week after the Easter break (April 20th), the room is free so I suggested that you get together anyway and talk over any problems you've encountered or go through things together, Sakina has agreed to come along to help out.
